Predictions Made About: Tarmon Gaidon

Rating: 1

This time the last battle will cause the wheel of time and the pattern to break. The Dark One will be fused with the Creator. Saidar will be merged with Saidin (creating Sardine :) No more prophecies, ta'veren, and predetermined / unchangeable future.

By Westof8th on 2012-04-09

Fain will replace or kill the dark one. Either Rand will win against shai tan (something to do with shaidar haran probably) and then shut fain in the bore, or the dark one will win, but fain will kill/battle him for taking Rands life, which fain sees as his.

When Rand wins Tarmon Gai'don, the sun will shine finally at Shayol Ghul, fulfilling the Twice Dawns the Day line in the Karatheon Cycle.

Rand kills The Dark One. Since the Wheel can't turn without a balance of Light & Dark. Padan Fain becomes the New Dark One (NDO)

By JustMo on 2012-01-26

Rating: 2.17

Rand will defeat shaidar harran, who is linked to the dark one in such a way that shai'tan is killed. but fain will kill Rand almost immediaately after. this will all take place inside the bore, and they will have been sealed in by rands order(probably by perrin). The wheel of time will thus continue, as fain will replace shai'tan as the dark one.(maybe moridin could also become the dark one but i believe that he might switch sides back to the light once he sees the dark one can be defeated, because of his big speech that says that he only betrayed them because he saw the darkones victory as inevitable).

The 3 ta'veren will be instrumental in fighting the Last Battle. The Dark One will attempt to rip apart and destroy the age lace, but the power of the 3 of them being together will cause a ton of threads to converge to one point (the battle) and make a metaphorical rope. This will give humanity the strength to withstand the Dark One when Rand breaks all of the seals and releases it.

Moiraine and Nynaeve must be the two women to create a circle with Rand to wield Callandor. Rand will have a hand created by Perrin, Moiraine will have her bracelet and Nynaeve will have her wells, rings and net. This will protect Rand while the circle is in place. He must trust the women who help him; the DO will not be able to poison that link to the power.

Galad's blood will be the blood of the dragon shed at Shayol Ghul; the image from Min's vision of the two men laying on the ground with Trollocs surrounding them is of Luc/slayer( two souled and of two worlds) finally separated in death... and Tam will kill him; that is the image of the pipe from Min's vision.

The DO will be destroyed or resealed using a new source of Power, the opposite of the True Power - channeled directly from the creator himself. The Power of the Light?

By Hundred and First Companion on 2009-11-19

I believe that Rand will destroy the Dark One at Tarmon Gaidon with the inadvertent help of Moridin. Moridin will be sealed in the Dark One's prison and He will be the Dark One in the next age.

Everyone from the Isle of Madmen will turn out to be direct descendants of AS who survived the breaking (or maybe the descendants of the 100 Companions) and will reveal that they still have all of the knowledge from the AoL, and use it to destroy the DO.

By Zanlin on 2009-09-09

Rating: 4.14

Padon Fain will be present as a second evil challenging the DO but accidently helping Rand and the armies of the light, and he will also have to be present to seal the bore like Rand used Shadar logoth to remove the Taint from Saidin, but the logoth Dager will prbably used again on Rand and cut him while in a three way duel between Rand Wielding Callandor(or power roought Sword, or the sword he got from Aviendha), Moridin using some power rought sword, or shadow rought steel, and Padin Fain using Logoth Dagger

By lordoftwilight on 2008-08-02

And what if, during the Last Battle, it was discovered that using the name pisses off the Dark One, because if everyone used it at once, it would fragment his consciousness in so many directions, it would destroy his power. If that was my weakness, I'd mess up anybody who said my name too.

That's my prediction, but probably way off base.

By Rahien Sorei on 2008-01-07

When the dark one breaks free all channelers, male and female, will realise that Rand truly is their only hope and will create the biggest circle ever made. Rand will control the circle of all channelers in randland with the choedan kal in his remaining hand, drawing such immense amounts of power that he will either destroy DO or reseal the prison as though it were never broken/possibly to the point where it can never be broken again

Not sure if this in anywhere on this board, but You can see where Tarmon Gaidon is if you go to Google Earth.

Spin Africa a bit crooked to line Cape Verde up with Tremalking or the islands to the north of Tremalking. Aile Dashar becomes the Islands of Medeira. The blight is where the Mediteranian is now. Tarmon Gaidon should be at the east side of the blight in Israel at the Armageddon Plains. Someone may blast open the gates of Heracles to flood the blight creating the Med!

Rand will pick 12 companions including Mazrim Tain to attend him at Tarmon Gaidon, but they will fail him. Rand will die willingly. Fight the dark one and rise three days later. Three womem will be there when Rand rises after all the men have given up. (Min, Avienda, and Elaine) Rand will visit with Mat and Perin and go back to the Emonds Field and retire.

By jhvanriper on 2007-09-22

Mat and Perrin will function as a diversionary force being critical in buying time while Rand leads a relatively small strike force to finish the job at Pit of Dhoom. For some reason it will be very crucial that forces of Light will not cave in before Rand finishes whatever he's doing.

Alternatively we could see almost copy of how LTT did it. Mat leads the Band as "the 20000 men army" to enable/protect Rand to go mano-i-mano with the DO. Like Rand & Nynaeve where relatively helpless during the Cleansing. The battle will be fought firstly in the real world and when Rand manages to push DO back to outside of the Pattern then the third man will sacrifice himself to fix the bore and allowing Rand to escape.

By joerandlander on 2007-09-07

Rating: 1

In the final installment, I foresee Rand being aided directly at Tarmon Gaidon by either Alivia and Nynaeve OR Avienda and Elayne. Alivia and Nynaeve will have the strength between them to resist the taint through the male adam, and control Rand wielding Callandor (something else requiring women working with him) - thereby circumventing hisenduring dizziness (despite cleansing the True Source). Also, this may allow Alivia to support LTT's demise while keeping Rand alive.
However, Avienda and Elayne could be the key to controlling Rand in the same manner, as they may be the only people he trusts at that point and their bond may also give them some protection. Once he has battled the DO at Shayol Ghul, DO will kill LTT (which he wants) by splitting Rand's wound and taking his soul, but Rand will survive ( I think I'm swaying towards the two soul theory). Also, the taint of Aridhol will play a part in the defeat of the DO. Egwene will use her ability with Cuendillar and that of the other Two Rivers Girls to reseal the Bore. The DO is part of a balance and therefore cannot be destroyed utterly, so he must be captive for the next age turning, when it will start again.

The Dark One will destroyed, not simply re-imprisoned at the Last Battle. As a result the Creator will also be destroyed having performed his duty and the True Source will disappear with the True Power. That means an end to Aes Sedai, the Pattern with its Age Lace and everything else that provides oppression and wonderment for the common person.

By Wonderer on 2006-08-24

When all is lost, I believe that Bale Fire will be instrumental in the last scene and it will be used by both Nyneve and Rand, or maybe Logain, with those two big sa'angreal, Choedan Kal. When its used, the power will be immense and either Moridan or the dark one will be essentially completely removed from the pattern. Perhaps Rand will keep the bad guys busy while Logain and Nyneve do what they need to do and his wound will break open, etc.,

Then Jordan will give us a glimpse (perhaps in another two or 3 books) of what the world will become, say without Moridan/Ishy in it. The history without the Trolloc Wars that Ishy may have influenced, etc., would not happen. Also, Ishy's effect on destroying the Cuendillar will also not have taken place and forsaken and the Dark Lord won't be loose.

rand will die or be turned and the dark one will win. this will bresk the wheel, and thus break the world. shaidar haran will be the one to kill rand, somehow he will use the old wounds that rand has against him.
but after all is lost and the world belongs to the DO the creator will seal him again and remake the world. thus rand will live again to be reborn as LTT or as himself... this shall be the reckoning of RJ the lord of the dawn himself.

In the LB Rand will lead some of the main characters to Shayol Ghul in a sneak attack, almost like Lews Therin. Mat and Perrin must be there to, due to Min's constant vision of sparks of light against darkness she always gets from the three.

Rand will also bring his dragon-legion, some Aiel (Most likely a group of Spearmaidens), his most loyal Asha'man and his Aes Sedai.

Perrin will hunt down Slayer, entering the Dreamworld.

Mat will face the Gholam since no Aes Sedai or Asha'man is fit for the fight.

Rand will take on Moridin and then Shadar Haran, Shadar Haran will be stronger than Moridin and so he will be the last opponement before the bore is shut.

(Demandred, Greandal and Mesaana will be taken out before the LB, Mesaana will get beaten up by Egwene and Demandred by Logain. Greandal I don't know)

I predict that the Dark one is the creator and defeating him will destroy the one power, true power, and ultimately the wheel. Rand will have a decision to defeat the dark one and risk time unraveling or seal the bore and go through the wheel again. "You must die to live" involves that the only way for Rand to live is to destroy the wheel and ultimately kill himself. He will never be ressurected in a turning.
