Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Asmodean's Demise

These are my thoughts on Asmodean's demise.
1. Lanfear or Moraine could have killed him. Based on the fact that the previous doorway (the one in the Stone) worked with three people in it, Moiraine and Lanfear would have gotten three wishes before the fox people could do anything to them. That leaves 6 wishes to be fullfilled from two people who would want him dead.

2. This is my idea on why Asmondean recognized his killer. I admit it is far fetched. Say while at Rhuldean looking for the two statuettes he steps through the three rings which the Wise ones use. He is given three visions or possibilities. Moraine recieved one about her death, so it is possible Asmondean did as well. As for reasons he walked into the rings I can only say it seems like something he would do. As far as I know no man who can channel walked though it so it could work for him as well as it did the wise ones and Moraine. So his words "You! No!" could be triggered by his memory. Far fetched let me hear what you think.

It is never established just how much any of the forsaken know about Finnland, so your suggestion that somehow Lanfear or Moiraine did it with one of their requests is still a possibility...i don't think you have much of a chance proving your second idea, but I would build on the first.
