ust Bond An Aes Sedai

by Wadi: 1998-10-08 | Not yet rated

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: What will Cadsuane teach Rand and the Asha'man?

It is evident that Cadsuane has a vast knowledge of the Taint and its effect on men channeling. She has worked with them for years, knows Taim and Logain, and she advocated breeding males with the spark to aes sedai to prevent the breeding out of the spark resulting form gentling them.

It was also said in the series (I apologize for the lack of citation here) that the men Cadsuane dealt with stayed sane longer.

I believe that Cadsuane will teach the Ashaman that in order to curb or mitigate the effect of the taint, they must bond an aes sedai. Rand's bond to Alanna will assist him in his quest to stave off insanity.

I freely admit that this theory comes from my Hunch department. Min said in her viewing that Rand and the Ashaman would not like what she teaches them. They surely wouldnt like the idea of bonding an aes sedai considering their overt suspicion and dislike of the sisters.

I am very interested to hear all of your theories.

Very good Wadi, this sounds likely. It makes you wonder if she has bonded a few to see what would happen to them. I hadn't considered bonding but it would make logical sense. I like that.
