Couple of Possibilities

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who is the Old Man in Front of Carridin's?

I was just wondering about the old guy in front of Carridin's palace in Ebou Dar (TCOS), and who he might be. I was just reading TFOH, and on page 26 of the hardback, I think he gets a mention. Lanfear, Sammael and Graendal are visiting Rahvin, and Rahvin looks through Graendal's gateway, and see
"Oddly, a lean old man in a wrinkled coat sat disconsolately among the perfomers."
Knowing the way RJ writes, this is not a throw away line. So, is Graendal spying on Carridin (possible, since he is was involved with sending Whitecloaks in that area), or is the old fellow from somewhere around Arad Doman? I have no idea. Maybe its Geofram Bornhald, who would have been in Graendal's vicinity if he survived Falme. I don't have my books with me (wrong country), but what did Geofram Bornhald look like? If Graendal and her 'methods' has been at him, his memory is probably shot, yet he might well remember Carridin, who, if i remember correctly, was involved with sending him and his men to Falme? Any thoughts.

When I first thought about it, I considered Geofram Bornhald, we don't know for sure that he died. We do know that he was catching on the the 'Questioner's' game...

Geofram Bornhald.....I hadn't thought of that.......
Wouldn't that be some irony for you. It would certainly drive Dain over the edge if that went down. And it makes more sense than it being Gaidal Cain. Has anyone asked RJ weather or not we've met this guy in the past?
