oridin and the Horn of Valere

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who is Moridin?

Something to think about: Moridin's name is included in the inscription that is written on the Horn of Valere: “Tia mi aven Moridin isainde vadin”, which is Old Tongue for “The grave is no bar to my call”. I wouldn't think all that much of the match, except that the word ‘Moridin' is even capitalized in the Old Tongue inscription. Concidence or not? Maybe his name means ‘grave' or something and he'll have something to do with the Horn as the story progresses. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has anything to say about this.

Cool, that would be an interesting way to integrate Moridin's 'plot' and the Horn. Maybe Mat and Moridin will meet up sometime. I would have to say that it is probably coincidence but since when doesn't RJ pull on coincidence to weave a thread.

While what you said makes some sense, remember that the old tounge is sketchy and that "death" (moridin) is (could be) "grave" or the exact like of the wording could be "death does not stop my call" or something. ... Just a thought.
