t Wasn't Min's Viewing

by Young Bull: 1998-09-18 | Not yet rated

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: What Has Happened to Moiraine?

I do believe that both Lanfear and Moiraine are alive and most of my reasons have already been stated, but I just thought I would correct a minor detail.

People here are saying that Min had a viewing about Thom pulling a blue stone like Moiraine's out of a fire. However it wasn't Min, it was in one of Egwene's dreams. In TFoH Chapter 15, "What Can Be Learned In Dreams", pg 300-301 paperback, pg 214 hardcover it says something like "while Thom Merrilin put his hand into a fire to draw out the small blue stone that now dangled on Moiraine's forehead." I got this from the WOT FAQ at

http://hugin.imat.com/jordan/Prophecy/Egwene.html

Just thought I'd clear that up.

Thanks Young Bull for that reference, they always help out to "clear" ideas up a bit.

Young Bull is right Egwene dreamed that. However, Min did have a viewing about Moiraine and you can findit at
http://hugin.imat.com/jordan/Prophecy/Min.html

Min makes the following statements about her viewing:

"He [Rand] would almost certainly fail without a woman who was dead and gone..." - ACOS: 35, Into the Woods, 543

and

"It was not as if she had really expected Moiraine to turn up alive. Moiraine was the only viewing of hers that had ever failed." - ACOS: 35, Into the Woods, 546

As Young Bull said, "Just thought I'd clear that up." Hopefully this will.
