Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: What Has Happened to Moiraine?

Just some quick thoughts. i haven't read the series enough and can't really research anything since i donated my paperbacks to a library. but i don't see anything logical in saying that moiraine and lanfear are dead because the doorway was destroyed. mat entered the same doorway and i don't remember him being dragged out of the doorway to get hanged. mat, rand, and moiraine all entered the doorway in tear and all exited the doorway as well. i don't recall if they were escorted to the exit or not but from mat's experience the ter'angreal in rhuidean does not require the person to exit only to wish to leave. this seems to indicate the doorway is not neccessary for a person to leave. this would seem to counter the evidence that they are dead because the doorway was destroyed. i have also seen theories that say lanfear and moiraine do not have to end up in the same place after entering the doorway. this is supported by mat, rand, and moiraine entering the ter'angreal in tear and not seeing each other on the other side. but none of them saw either of the others go in either. so does where you go once you enter the doorway depend on when you entered it? if moiraine and lanfear do go to the same place what sort of confrontation would result? just trying to stimulate some speculation but neither is done yet. these two are perhaps the most enigmatic women characters (verin and cadsuane also) and their little detour can only serve to bring them back even more enigmaticthan before.

We do know that you can channel in Finnland. As seen when Moiraine comes walking out backwards through the door (as far as I remember) with a ball of light in her hands or something to that effect. To answer any of your questions I think we are going to need more concrete facts. I have stated my opinions on most of what you have commented here so I will others reply.
