lanna Wanted to Control Rand

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Rand, Alanna and the Bond

Alanna told Verin that she bonded Rand to keep him from running around, but I think that it was in order to control him. After all, they did try to shield him after she bonded him. Also, after Ewegene bonded Birgitte, Birgitte went drinking with Mat and Egwene felt the effects. Alanna can feel the old wound in Rand's side, and when he is hurt. The seachan mentioned that whoever collared Rand would go mad with him, and there's really not much difference between bonding and the link felt with the collar. I believe that when Rand goes mad, then so will Alanna.

I feel very sorry for her if that was her goal, because she will be pulled along like a dog in a leash instead. Actually when she did that, it pissed me off, I don't feel sorry for her.
