Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: The Taint of Saidar and Saidin

The WoT series is a very complex story, but at its heart is the eternal battle of good vs. bad, light vs. darkness, etc. This battle is symbolized in our society by the yin-yang. Now, we all know that one half represents male, and the other female forces. But they also represent good and evil. In WoT, both seem to be good. Why is this? I mean, shouldn't the Creator be represented by saidar, and the DO by saidin? I'm not saying that the Creator is saidar incarnate, or anything, but since the One Power is what spins the wheel, wouldn't it be more balanced if each Force had its own part of the Power?

I think you are right about the need for balance...but wouldn't it also be balanced if neither saidar nor saidin were of the Creator nor of the DO but the weilder of that power could decide for whose side he/she would fight for? Wouldn't that provide for balance, ect. But, like you say, the DO would still have the TP...so is the Creators balance that all men(women) are inherently good?
