hat About Liah

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Liah and Shadar Logoth

With all the arguments and contra-arguments about who is the misterious man in Shaddar Logoth nobody seems to have noticed the most intriguing thing of the last chapter of ACoS. After all, we have had three or four mysterious men in the book, so one more isn't very remarkable. But what in hell is Liah doing in Shaddar Logoth???? No one can survive weeks or maybe months in this city!!!! And don't tell me than she is an Aiel and all this stuff Aiel die as easily as everybody else. You CAN'T survive. Even supposing that Mashadar has gone to a holiday, you don't have animals to eat the drough is global, so you don't have rain water or wells to drink. Any human would die in a matter of days! And Mashadar is NOT in a holiday he is in the city, hunting. An experienced maiden could have hidden one or two days, maybe three, but even Moraine, an Aes Sedai, had to set wards. Liah is not an Aes Sedai, and she is not inmune to Mashadar we see her trapped by the thing in the book before Rand kills her.
And there is another matter, how did she dissapear in the first time? She just went by herself, to visit the city's museum of art, and decided to move to the city? She would not have stayed in the city a single day even if she had gone on her own, and she would have not gone, all by herself and without notice. Aiel may be foolishly brave, but they are not stupid. Something really weird is happening here, and I'm beggining to think than Rand's rescuer is only a mean of taking the attention out of Liah.
Yes, I know that is not a theory, only a collection of questions, but I wanted to put the matter out on the light. I'm collecting a whole new bunch of looney ideas right now. When I've sorted them out and disclosed the looniest, I'll get some proofs and expone them all for your enjoiment. While you wait for it, I invite you all to make your own. Maybe we have the same ideas and I can save the time of writing them myself (he he).

I think you make a good point, is it Graendal helping Sammael out, does Sammael know of Rand's(LTT) 'care'(weakness) when it comes to the maidens or women in general? Was it all a trap? Was Liah truly dead?

RJ has said that it was possible for Liah to survive...that doesn't mean that she wasn't abducted, it just means that it was possible...
