bviously Zerah

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who is Mesanna masquerading as?

Just wanted to point out that I think it's pretty obvious Zerah is Mesaana. We all know Mesanna is hiding in the tower. and Zerah was caught in a lie by Pevara and Seaine. The only way she could have lied is if she was Black Ajah, which she denies specifically so we know she is not, or if she is one of the Forsaken. Pevara and Seaine forget about trying to catch her in a lie when she tells them that she's there trying to get Elaida deposed. Doesn't getting Elaida deposed fit in with what Mesanna has been having Alviarin do? She also says she wants the tower to be whole again, which is what Alviarin keeps on telling Elaida, that she is working to make the tower whole.

I am at a loss, and I know it has been a while since you submitted this theory but can someone post the exact lie that Zerah told Pevara. Knowing Aes Sedai, I'm sure there is a way out for her, meanwhile I will have to check Zerah out. I hope you are right, it would be one mystery solved.

Another theory on this said that Seaine and Pevara caught Zerah in a lie, but that is not true. They thought that they had gotten her in a lie (she had said that she had come from the north, but she had stuff in her bags from the south), but she had deliberately circled above Tar Valon so that she could come down on top of it and say that she came from the north (not a lie). Beside, if she was a forsaken, there is no way she would make the oath to obey the two. She would have dropped the oath rod and attacked on the spot.

I think that she is masquerading as a servant. Alviarin didn't sense the ability to channel in her, and I don't think that she would worry about masking it only when talking to Alviarin (a sister that powerful would occasion comment).
