Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Is Sammael Dead?

It never clearly states that Sammael is dead, so he may or may not be. In one of Rand's thoughts, he thinks no one has channeled in order to make a gateway. But what if Sammael in his panic, or on purpose, in order to fool Rand, used the True Power to escape?

Although I know that the Forsaken use the True Power, we tend to say that if we can't explain something then the True Power was used, for some reason I believe this is a little bit more intricate in what went on, more planning then a spur of the moment decision.
