ow Did Moiraine learn Balefire?

Where did Moraine learn to weild Balefire. She said, that if anyone in the White Tower knew she could, or even knew of it, she would be killed. Was it spontanious, did she travel back in time through the doorway and learn it in the past (ie Is she Cadsuane?) or is she allied, and learned Balefire, through a much darker force (Is she a Dark friend!? Think about it, how fantastically would a dark friend who had the Dragon Reborn'strust be rewarded?).

Little things like this add up...she has turned into something of a legend as Aes Sedai. She has many mysteries and this is definitely one of them...I will probably add this question into the survey cause I would like to hear what everyone has to say. By the way David, in order to be apart of the WOT email discussion group I will need an email address from you...

All Aes Sedai has theyr own secret tricks. Theres probably more who know how to make Balefire. Besides Nynaewe used Balefire once whitout ever having learned it. And Where did she learn to heal stilling/genteling........You learn tricks as you go.

I do not think that just because Morraine could channel balefire we should assume anything (especially that she is a darkfriend!) This is because Nynaeve channeled balefire in TDR (p 454) without ever been taught. People may be able to channel balefire in extreme circumstances.
