re Tel'Aran'Rhiod, Portal Stones, and the Accepted Testing Ter'Argreal all related?

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Miscellaneous Theories

First of all, when Egwene is having her test for Accepted in (I believe) Dragon Reborn, the three fates for her are:

1. Abandon Rand (husband)who is having a channeling after-shock fit
2. Kill Rand before the Myrdraal and Aes Sedai can turn him
3. Gentle him, as the Amyrlin Seat

Now, rewind to The Great Hunt. When Rand uses the Portal Stone, and (I believe) Ishamael snares him into living diff. lives, we get a few pages of detailed lives, and then a list. Three in a row were:

1. Egwene, his wife
2. Egwene stabbing his heart with a knife
3. Egwene stern faced in an Amyrlin's Stole, gentling him

Also, after Egwene's test, everybody is getting all sad because she almost got caught in the ter'angreal. An Aes Sedai says she hasn't seen anything like that since two ter'angreals with similar purposes were in the same room together...hint...Egwene had her Tel' ring. Maybe the two are similar.

I think you are right in assuming a connection between the Mirror Worlds(Portal Stones), T'A'R, and the Ter'angreal Testing. It is possible that the ter'angreal were made to access mirror worlds. So maybe the Aes Sedai that stay behind aren't necessarily completely lost...
