Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Miscellaneous Theories

I've read quite few letters suggesting that various Forsaken might be Osan'gar and Asan'gar respectively, and even some chewing over the possiblity that Sammael, if dead, might stand to be given a new lease on life as well. As a co-orolary to this theory, I have also seen folks bemoaning the idea of resurrection as a contrived cop-out. Ah, but you must have faith in the Grand Master! I believe that Aran'gar and Osan'gar are Balthamel and Aginor respectively, as their behavior matches their character as described in the novels and the Wheel of Time Guide Book. Here is my observation however... Look at the last battle in The Eye of the World and you will see that Aginor tells us that the Dark One is already planning to replace his and Balthamel's decrepit bodies. This seems to forshadow their later resurrection, and suggests that RJ has had Osan' and Asan'gar in mind since the beginning. I doubt that any Forsaken but these two will merit the Dark One's effort of reaching beyond the grave. Are these suppositions too much of a leap? What do you think?

Truthfully I am sick of 'resurrected' forsaken...so if Sammael was killed, I hope we never see him again, but as you pointed out, I am sure Sammael will be brought back. But as you stated, I believe that RJ had this in mind the entire time...and I think I actually missed that Foreshadowing...happens.
