elper in Shadar Logoth the creator?

Previous Categories: Miscellaneous Theories

First off the unknown man makes balefire but does not use the One power. Something I think the dark one can also do. He says alot of thinks that hint at knowledge the creator can only know. The man is also angry at somthing. In a way i think Rand knows who he is deep down. Rand: "You can go to Caemlyn, You know, to the black tower. You dont have to live afraid of Aes Sedai." For some reason, saying that made him frown. Like he knew he wasn't afriad of Aes sedia. Also the strange man says "You can find the way, It seems. If you're led by the hand. Try not to stumble. A GREAT MANY PLANS WILL HAVE TO BE RELIAD IF YOU LET YOURSELF BE KILLED NOW. Very Significant. He basically told rand if you die I will have to make another dragon. He is also measuring him up. Then he disapears. He didn't use the power to make a gateway. "the fellow had had time to make a gateway, or course, if he knew how, but the residue would have been visible, and besides, that much of saidin being woven so near would have shouted at him." also he realizes the man didnt use the power to make balefire either. " suddenly he realized that he had not felt saidin when the man made Balefire, either." then he asks himself who where you then changes it to what where you. Also the Presence of the divine power. “Abruptly he realized that a glow bathed the floor around them like the glow of a full moon. Something the creator would have around him maybe?

The most generally accepted theory about this helper is that it was Moridin helping Rand out (because of later comments on the Fisher and playing both sides.) This glow that bathed the floor, I will have to go back and read that in context because I thought it was describing Mashadar...but if not, that is intriguing.

The reason Rand didn't feel the power being used was because Moridin used the True Power to make the balefire. The quote about plans having to be relaid refer to the Shadow's plans. Remember, at that time the DO wanted Rand alive, still hoping Rand could be turned.

Also the a qoute before makes us lean toward that fact that this is Moridin. ACoS pp. 846, just after Rand falls into a pit. "A hand grabbed his right wrist. 'You are a fool,' a man's deep voice said. 'Count yourself lucky that I care to see you die today.' The hand began drawing him up. 'Are you going to help?' the voice demanded. 'I don't intend to carry you on my shoulders, or kill Sammael for you.'" Now, in my opinion, this doesn't sound like the Creator talking to his champion. It sounds like Moridin saving Rand because he had to (on orders from the DO). He helped Rand because Sammael was trying to kill him, and the DO wanted Rand alive.

Oh yeah, and the "glowing". This quote should solve that. Once again ACoS pp. 846 "Saving his breath, Rand struggled upward, getting his chest over the lip, his waist. Abruptly he realized that a glow bathed the floor around them like the glow of a full moon.

Twisting to look over his shoulder, he saw Mashadar."

Mashadar glows and shines. It has a sort of "life" of it's own. That was what was bathing the floor in the glow. Mashadar was above Rand and Moridin, making the floor glow with light reflected from it. That's why they both used balefire. They were both attacking Mashadar and accidentally crossed their streams.

Now, I realize that the "wanderer" has dark hair and Moridin light, but a simple TP made Mask of Mirrors would solve this problem.

Both the Wanderer and the Watcher are Moridin. Rand didnt sense saidin because he used TP, which has been stated. He isnt afraid of AS because hes Ishamael reborn and Ishamael was in the AOL and knows the AS of today are little more then children to him.

The plans must needing to be relaid are again the DOs plans along with the other Forsaken. They needing to be relaid most likely for Sammael being killed because if you remember the orginal idea was for Rand to be lured to Sammael where Demandred and Graendal and Sammael would link and kill him. Obviously without Sammael they go back to the drawing board.

yes but the DO wants Rand dead becuase he wont follow him alive. I forgot which book its in but i believe he order him to be killed. Also would the creator be like ya am the creator am here to help. If he did that Rand would expect his help which the creator doesnt want to do. And the never feared AS is somthing the creator really wouldnt. Even the forsaken are weary of the AS.

Read Elder Haman's theory about the Creator, the Dark One, and Time. I think you'll see why the Wanderer cannot be the Creator. The Creator is outside the Wheel of Time. He cannot directly involve himself in the weavings of the Wheel. The Creator uses his champions (Rand, Mat, Perrin). I don't think the Creator can take physical form. It's hard to grasp, but the Wheel would probably break if the Creator touched it directly. So the Wanderer cannot be the Creator. He's Ishydin.

BTW, we've never seen an instance of the DO ordering Rand's death. In fact, he ordered Semirhage to send trollocs to the stone at the beginning of TSR to battle against the ones Sammael sent. Also, at the beginning of TLoC, the DO tells Demandred to "let the Lord of Chaos rule." This is referring to Rand; why the DO wants Rand alive is anyone's guess, but it's fairly obvious that the DO isn't concentrating on wiping out the opposition just yet. (I'm not going into any theories on why the DO wants Rand alive because that belongs under a different theory and other people have already covered it.)

The only hint of the DO not wanting, but accepting, Rands death is when he in the early books told Rand in his nightmares tht he could either join him alive or serve him as dead since he controlled the dead. Although as previosly stated the quote "Let the Lord of Chaos rule." indicates that he definitly wants Rand alive. why else would he have sent Moridin to save Rand... And if there would have been a standing death-warrant on Rand do you really think Lanfear would have helped Rand earlier on instead of balefiring him?
