ogains Glory and the Two Towers

by Nick: 2000-11-20 | Not yet rated

Previous Categories: Miscellaneous Theories

Now that rand has cleased saidin then the two towers will have to begin to work together as, the greastest feats with the power where accomplished by both halfs working together. I reckon that logain will gain command of the ashman (as taim is either a darkfriend or possibly one of the forsaken and he will die in the next book), and he will become the first new tamylin seat since LLT and he will be rands second in the last battle and he will lead the world into the new era after rands death, or amnesia.

I would figure that Taim will take a large following over to the dark side, and become new Dreadlords. Logain will lead the remnant of the Asha'man as you said and I hope that Logain and Taim go at it...Logain of course will win.

This theory actually goes against another of my theories, but i'm not sure which of the two seems more likely. I agree with Nick on this one a lot! I think Min's prediction of glory for Logain is to lead the Black Tower against the Dark One in the Last Battle, and the only way for that to happen is for Logain's faction ! and Taim's faction in the BT to come to blows and have one victor. .. .Actually, in accordance with my other theory (involving a new group of One Hundred Companions) it could be the war between Taim's men and Logain's that results in only one hundred Asha'man living to the Last Battle.

But at the same time, i think that it is a possiblity that the Black Tower and the White Tower will join as one. Who knows? Maybe we'll even see the Hall of Servants rebuilt for use of Aes Sedai and Asha'man. As Nick said, the greatest feats of the Age of Legends were accomplished by both halves of the Source together.

As for Egwene, she seems well aware of the dangers of Tarmon Gai'don, and the need for Rand to be there to win. So i think she might be able to make peace (eventually) and join with the Black Tower.

I think that one thing that supports the possiblity of this is the Aes Sedai with Cadsuane and Rand who have bonded Asha'man. They seem to have a much closer relationship than the regular Warder bond, and they are capab! le of much more in battle. It seems kind of like a foreshadowing of more Aes Sedai and Asha'man working together. Maybe a combination of the bonding that the Asha'man used on the Tar Valon Aes Sedai and the bond that Cadsuane's Aes Sedai used on Rand's Asha'man could create a kind of mutually bonding; it would probbly be something like the way that Elayne combined the Warder bond with the first-sister bonding cermony to make the three women's bond with Rand.

All in all, i really hope we get to see the Hall of Servants recreated, and Aes Sedai working hand in hand with Asha'man.

Rand alThor: 2003-03-06

Nick said that logain will be tamyrlin, the first after LTT. but rand is LTT reborn, if anyone should be tamyrlin, i think it should be him. but still logain will get his glory by killing taim and his followers = saving rands life...

There is the foretelling by Elaida that the Black Tower will be rent by fire and sisters will walk its grounds. The question is, has one part of that already been fulfilled? We know sisters have walked its grounds because they were bonded, but I think it might more mean that Logain's faction, with the rebel Aes Sedai, are gonna pull out a can of whoop-ass on Taim. On the other hand, I have to say that certain events in CoT point to Rand not being there at the time. Then there is the matter of the a'dam for men, the fact that Suroth has it, and that she probably has orders to use it if possible. She could easily get two sul'dam to wear the thing, or just one at a time, and things in CoT say that her chance to use it is probably coming soon.

Maybe the Aes Sedei already in the Black tower will cause trouble between the factions causing a battle to break out between the 2. Taim is exposed as a darkfriend and flees with the evil Ash'man and the tower is destroyed. This furfills Eladia's foretelling and also gives logain his glory as he leads the Ash'man after this.

Then the Black tower is later rebuilt on the slopes of the Dragonmount and works in close conjuction with the white tower. Then Logain and Egwene will have total equal standing, all being equal after Rands death (which I still think WILL happen and be permenent).

A nice point to my theory which suits RJ quite well is that the shadow of the Dragonmount very nearly touches Tar Valon each evening according to "The Great Hunt". If the Black tower was built on the very summet then its shadow would touch Tar Valon.

However a problem here is that sometimes Dragonmount is described as a mountain and sometimes as a volcano. But it is never mentioned errupting except for when it was created.

I think Logain's glory will be from ridding the BT of Taim, and joining the BT and WT. Afterall it was Egwene who let Logain go so that he might join Rand. I see him join with the rebels as everyone who has helped him out is in the rebel camp, Suian, and Nynvane. I think Rand will use him as a General leading the Ash, just like Mat leading the Red Hand, and Seanchan. Maybe like a Dreadlord type thing except for good,

I really don't think Taim will die until the last battle. He will however run to SG. The Shadow will need whatever channeler they can get, especially men who have done nother but train to kill with the one power. Logain will however lead the BT in joining with the WT and lead the Asha'men in the last battle against Taim and his cronies. For every dreadlord that the shadow will have, there will be 2 Asha'men to counter it.

Janstince: Fre already rent the ground of the Black Tower: when the Asha'man attacked they used bursts of flame from the ground. That Foretelling is almost fulfilled, and now Egwene only needs to reunite the White Tower by winning the battle of Tar Valon.
