gwene's Accepted Test Will Come True

by Christian Martin: 2000-12-09 | Not yet rated

Previous Categories: Miscellaneous Theories

The vision that Egwene had in the third part of her accepted test will true. Remember that she had the ter'angreal ring with her and the arches were going haywire.
So here's what will happen. The result of Egwene's army attacking Tar Valon will set up 2 rival halls in the tower with Egwene as the Amyrlin. It was mentioned casually in PoD that there was once 2 rival halls in the Tower. Elaida, with Alviarin's assistance, will head the rival hall. Rand will somehow get his hand in there and Egwene will get pretty mad that he will be trying to run the Tower. he will face her and know her anger.
As a result of this he will leave but something will happen to sheriam and beldeine, the Aies Sedai sworn to rand will become Keeper. Remember that Beldeine was Keeper in Egwene's accepted test.

Then the Black Ajah will rise up and turn Elaida Black, depose egwene and beldeine, and then capture Rand. And this is where we start out with egwene in her test. remember she also says that she never held the oath rod, and so far she hasn't.

this will also be the part where gawyn has to kneel to egwene or break her back. he will probably stay in the tower through all this and get together with egwene but remain loyal to Elaida. Egwene will need him to help her save Rand.

So that's my theory. I don't know what will happen with seaine and pevara's black ajah hunting mission though.

I would agree that it was a possible future, and it would seem like some things that were possible have become more of a reality. But I would be surprised if Egwene would live with Two Towers. But they may considering other threats like the Seanchan, and the Black Tower. Imagine Elaida inviting them in and then trying to still Egwene and locking her up. Then go back and take up a vote to dissolve the two towers back into one, making a pardon for everyone except Beldeine and Egwene. Meanwhile Alviarin tries to do her business...Hopefully the next book will have some of this in it.

A question that is raised against the stability of the viewing is that Egwene gets stilled, BUT! retains the ageless look to her. And from Siuan and Leane we know for fact that the ageless look goes caput once a person is stilled.

I think Callandor meant that Beldeine gets stilled in Egwene's testing.

I don't really see this as a possible future. I can't see Egwene or Elaida allowing the other to continue as Aes Sedai.I think Elaida will be killed, stilled, or kidnapped by the BA during the battle for Tar Valon, but I don't really have anything to back this up so feel free to tear it apart.

No in her test both Egwene and her Keeper get stilled.

Sorry Callandor, but Egwene doesn't get stilled, she is only sheilded. I honestly can't remember about the ageless look, but I do remember that she told Beldeine that she never swore the Three Oaths.

Also, and I neglected to mention this, Egwene couldn't have been stilled in that "viewing" because after she escaped, she went to one of the WT's many towers to look down at the Traitor's Court ( I think that's what it's called ) to see Rand in Elaida's clutches, with Elaida wearing the Amyrlin's stole. Egwene is thinking to herself, trying to figure out which weave to use... That means she can't have been stilled, only sheilded.

Ok... I re-read the chapter again and found my mistake: I thought Belidine being stilled was both her and Egwene. Sorry for confusion.

she wasn't stilled b/c they were gonna turn her black in the beginning of that dream. Can they change a stilled channeller like they can a regular one?

I just can't see Elaida continuing to live in the Tower after Egwene takes over, if she takes over which she obviously did bcuz she was Amyrlyn. But those two hate each other and a 'rebel' Amyrlyn can't be allowed to live. It would give other Aes Sedai ideas that they could oppose the Amyrlyn, they could just get off with a slap on the hand.
