thank you that was very helpful no to which? that they will tell her or try to use it against her?

might be right about both but even these idiots are able to keep a secret, you would think they would try to stop three of the only people in the world that knows all the towers secrets from leaving

had a lot questions after from this last read then my Lan card blew up and i forgot them all.

In all seriousness, I'm sure that Siuan or someone has already told Egwene about the Sea Folk Sisters maintaining the 13th Depository...Siuan has lectured on the contains for months so it must have come up even if it was off-screen. And No, Egwene made a deal that she will stick to so those Sisters will leave regardless...but yes, the Tower IS that stupid.

maybe but why would she need to ask or think about who runs them? she has someone who knows them by heart helping her why look at hundreds of dusty pages when you have someone to tell you what is in there and if you are not going to look at them yourself why ask where they are or who is looking after them.

but it does seem like something the hall would care about, more so after Egwene told whats her face about it and she started asking questions.

i dont trust Aes Sedai not to try and get more for themselves so if no one has told her i just figure it is something that will be used to bite her in the bum later

Then again, Slayer goes to TAR in the flesh, which Nynaeve doesn't do. That probably makes a difference.

One question, in Knife of Dreams we read this in Chapter 21.
Quote:
Rand took him for one of the Sea Folk at first, though he wore a peculiar coat without collar or lapels, once white but now stained and wrinkled. “I tell you. I have many, many of the… the worms that make… yes, make… silk on a ship.” he said haltingly in an odd, musical accent. “But I must have the… the… andberry… yes, andberry leaves to feed them. We will be rich.”
Just wondering if anyone knows where this man is from? Possibly Shara?

Rand went to TAR in the flesh in his battle with Rahvin and had his appearance changed, so I don't think that limits it.

Maybe, maybe not. He was changed (erased) by someone else, which may or may not be relevant.

True, but he did, however, change it back himself.

Default Nynaeve and Moiraine

I can't for the life of me remember if Nynaeve ever forgave Moiraine or came to terms with her need for vengeance.

This seems too vague to do a search on, especially if it never happened.

Can anyone refresh my memory?

Yes, she did. She did figure out that what Moiraine had done had been necessary, and therefor not Moiraine's fault.

Yes. She even felt bad when Moiraine 'died' and her first thought was that Lan would be hers now. But in TGS she said 'I wish Moiraine were here.'

Exclamation I Have a book that I cannot seem to find.

About 8 years ago, I purchased a book from a chapters or indigo I can't remember.

It was essentially the WoT encyclopaedia. It was several hundred graphic pages with portraits of all the characters, details regarding everything in the entire series and a colourful background on everything in the series to boot.

I would like to know what it is called. I haven't been able to find it anywhere but I think that's because I keep searching for, "encyclopaedia" or stupid terms like, "strategy guide".

I've looked for hours because I would like to order a new one.

Does anyone know of this book? Or am I potentially in possession of an enormously rare collector's item?

I believe you want this: The World of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. There's an encyclopedia coming out about a year after AMOL is published, but that will be different.

Default What happened with Duram Laddel Cham?

Was Moiraine's Balefire strong enough to kill Be'lal or did the DO have time to get a hold on his string?
I do not think that mentioning him as a schemer was a coincidence or a red herring. Therefore he must be or have been up to something.
If he died, what plans did the netweaver Be'lal set in motion before dying?
If he lives, who is he now and what is he doing?

The closest I can find to a quote confirming that he was BF'd and isn't coming back is this:

Quote:

AFAIK, we've always believed Be'lal was BFd and isn't coming back, but I think it is still possibly slightly open.

Any idea who Elayne knew or suspected that Thom was responsible for assassinating the king in Chairhien after the King's men killed his girlfriend/apprentice? She issued a pardon to him but as far as I can remember Elayne was in the Tower at the time all this happened and after that she was hiding from the Seanchan. Thom did not exactly advertise what he had done so who did she know?

Theoryland-specific question: I'm more interested in the metaphysics of how things in the WoT universe work. Are there archived discussions of some of these topics I can read through? Maybe on the old forums?

I tried searching, but the search results weren't helpful.

Gracias!

This is more a question about current theories. I'm pretty convinced by those who argue that Rand has to die. The prophecies/dreams all seem to call for it in one way or another, and it's just a good literary move. Here's my question: according to the theorists who make this case, will the series end with Rand dead? In other words, if Rand is ressurected, is this only temporary?

For instance, I've seen one idea (maybe Terez?) that perhaps Rand takes a knife ter'angreal on his way to SG (to do whatever needs to be done there). Would this sort of theory imply that the series will end with Rand dead?
