I just don't understand why the Kurds won't be more patient...I mean, its not like they've gotten the short end of the stick from the entire world for over a century or something.

Oh wait.

I wonder how stupid John Kelly feels after going on tv yesterday to fall on his sword for a President that 100% doesn't deserve it and then have that same President go out a couple hours later and completely undercut him claiming he never said anything about "he knew what he signed up for" despite Kelly saying exactly that and even saying he was the one that gave him that verbiage (albeit said far better than anything our idiot POTUS could say due to his complete lack of anything resembling empathy).

I mean, his own son died in combat and you're still gonna defend this stupidity by your boss? Like WTF man?

It looks like so far the only foreign power that is willing to publicly support the Kurds is Israel.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-m...-idUSKBN1CP181

It does make sense from a geopolitical/strategic standpoint. Israel hates Iran. Israel hates Syria.

But what the hell are we doing? One canít help but wonder why we keep wanting to be on every side in every struggle in the Middle East. Why side with Assad and the Ayatollah against the Kurds here, but then pick a fight with Iran by pretending that they arenít complying with a nuclear deal that everyone, including Trumpís own advisors, publicly admit that they are fully compliant with? Our foreign policy has always been pretty nonsensical in the Middle East, but recently it has been even more so. We canít trust Erdogan. We canít trust Baghdad. We canít trust Assad (nor clearly his puppetmaster either). And we refuse trust the Iranians, even though it would be in our long term interest to at least try to do so, and thus to stop antagonizing them. But instead we turn our backs on the one reliable ally in the region. And why? For Erdogan?

It would be one thing if this idiotic policy was just a consequence of Trump, but this incompetence is far more pervasive. This lack of clarity in terms of long-term goals for the region seems a rot that comes not just out of congress and the white house, but out of the pentagon as well.

It used to be the same thing in Latin America, where the USA customarily supported any anti-democratic fascist it could find, out of fear that those democrats might possibly be socialists. But GWB wrecked that policy by his focus on the Middle East, and now the American lunacy is only aimed there. And at Venezuela, which is trying hard to actually deserve it, I admit.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to trust Kelly.

He blatantly and repeatedly lied. Its disgusting. He's just as much a POS as the rest of the scum now in the WH.

And now its apparently "highly impropriate" to question a Marine General? Did I miss that memo? What the fuck does that mean? When did we become a military junta? Fuck Sarah Sanders, John Kelly and Trump and the whole lot of those people.

Props to Tillerson for "allegedly" calling Trump, and I quote, "a fucking moron," though.
