Previous Categories: What do the colors that the ta'veren see mean?

If you think back to earlier in the books(i don't remember an exact spot, i'll follow up) Moraine mentions that Rand, Perrin and Mat need to stay together. I believe the the colors are indicators that the three have been apart for too long.

This is a pretty normal translation of the colors, although the quote by Moiraine would be helpful.

The quote might be by Moiraine, but I think it is by someone else.


A triangle is the most stable of the shapes, but once you remove one side point, the others fall down.

I remember a myrdraal saying to perrin at the beginning of TDR something like take out one leg and the tripod falls, but i just took that to mean that without all three, they will surely fail.

Yes, that's what I meant, but I took it to mean that without one leg the tripod is unable to stand, and it will fail.

The Tripod reference was Ba'alzamon during one of the dream sequences. But due to Ishy's suspect sense of humour and granduer the quote itself is suspect. Although Mins veiwing regarding the lads and the darkness together is indicative the need to spend some quality time.

Perhaps the three of them are like the ogier in a way. Just as the ogier long for the stedding, these three ta'veren as strong as they are need each other.

I agree with this, and think that there must also be something more. It seems to innocent, but what hasn't been discussed here is what will happen if they don't get together soon- blinding headaches possibly? That kindof thing? Is there anyone more imaginative than me out there?
