he Little Tower

Previous Categories: What army is about to attack Caemlyn?

Tamyrlin already refuted Goldeneyes' answer of the Salidar Aes Sedai, but why? We have to take into account the fact that news travels very slowly, and only a scarce few people (such as the Forsaken and Rand) actually receive news just after it happens. The Little Tower and Gareth Bryne's army were in the northern part of Murandy, just to the south of Andor.

When Egwene and the Hall met with the Murandian and Andoran nobles, they thought that Egwene meant to start a war, and having the Band of the Red Hand following close behind them simply adds to the numbers involved. So why wouldn't Master Norry think that army meant to enter Andor? Egwene sent no message to Caemlyn to warn them. The Salidar Aes Sedai were trying to pass as quietly as they could, to give the least amount of warning to Elaida as possible.

So with how slowly rumors pass, how innaccurate they can be sometimes, the Band and Bryne's armies so close together they might look like one ... Well I can see why Norry would have told Elayne that they were an army that might pose a threat to Andor.

I think the problem is that this army is relatively small in comparison to Bryne's army. And Egwene would have communicated with Elayne if she was crossing through. Also, (SPOILER INFORMATION) from information in the prologue of CoT...we know that this isn't possible.

Hmm, well I see. I haven't read the prologue to CoT, so i did not know about the new information. Though once the book comes out and i've read it i suppose i'll know what it was that happened.
