elena's Goal

In CoT Delena comes and tells Egwene of the five Sitters promoting negotiations, (see the theory "Pattern of Sitters..."). After she leaves Egwene comment that Delena must have a hidden motive. This is my theory on what that goal is:

Fact 1: Delena is promoting the interests of the Black Ajah.

Fact 2: Delena wants Elaida declared Black Ajah.

Fact 3: Delena was terrified when Egwene said she would accept negotiations.

Fact 4: Sheriam (who is being controlled by a DF) was also terrified.

Fact 5: Alviarin was actively promoting disharmony among the Tower Ajah.

Theorem 1: (opinion of Egwene's White AS) -> Delena's goal must be strife among the Ajahs, or perhaps strife between the Ajahs and the Sitters.

Red Herring 1: Egwene thinks that even the Black Ajah must desire the Tower to be whole again.

Conclusion: The Black Ajah's primary goal is to keep the Tower divided. The Black Ajah's secondary goal is strife among the Ajahs - which will also support the Black Ajah's primary goal. Thus both ideas in Theorem 1 are correct.

I would agree that the Black Ajah definitely do not want the Tower whole again. Now that Alviarin has lost her position of power and control over Elaida, the BA will try even harder to prevent this from happening. So how does the cuendillar chain issue fit in. Egwene told the Hall about the plan, so we can assume that the Black Ajah know about it also. Does blocking the harbors help or hurt the Black Ajah's plan? You could say that it hurts, because it may force Elaida's hand to give up eventually, or you could say that it helps it, because it would give Egwene's camp hope and prolong the conflict.

Hmmm... A weakened Tower would be a great benefit for the shadow. I believe that the they would even like to take this a step further and see a bloody campaign directly involving Aes Sedai. What could weaken the tower further than open blood shed? And the shadow will want as weak a tower as they can manage for the last battle? (This could help explain the Egwene kidnapping as well).
