(tFoH beginning)

With his coming are the dread fires born again. The hills burn, and the land turns sere. The tides of men run out, and the hours dwindle. The wall is pierced, and the veil of parting raised. Storms rumble beyond the horizon, and the fires of heaven purge the earth. There is no salvation without destruction, no hope this side of death.

(LoC end)

The unstained tower breaks and bends knee to the forgotten sign. The seas rage, and the stormclouds gather unseen. Beyond the horizon, hidden fires swell, and serpents nestle in the bosom. What was exalted cast down, what was cast down is raised up. Order burns to clear his path.

I believe these two prophecies are linked and they refer to the Seanchan.

With his coming: may refer to Rand when he chases after Aviendha. I believe the conversation between the Sul'Dam and the Seeker to be very important when taken in context of the two Prophecies. All is not well in Seanchan. Before the a'dam Channeller's walked free with no constraints. The dread fires could be channellers walking free again, because they can no longer trust Sul'Dam. Tides of men run out, could be the number of Aiel running away from their fates. The wall peirced,

Egwene physically going in to TAR.

The veil raised, AS going into TAR While using Ter'Angeral. Storms rumble beyond the Horizon. An uprising in Seanchan. Fires of Heaven,

The OP being used. No salvation etc Self explanatory.

Unstained tower breaks White tower splits. Sisters Bend knee to Rand under the Ancient banner the forgotten sign. Seas rage, Fights between the Athiene Miere and Seanchan, Beyond horizon hidden fires swell, already explained. Exalted cast down. Crystal Throne overthrown. Cast down raised, Damane being exalted. Order burns to clear his path. The Seanchan are the very model of order therefore their way of life has to be destroyed.

I know some of these events are not connected but they dont have to be. They just have to happen.

(Frenzy for Tamyrlin)
Are you implying that the coming of the Dragon Reborn signals the fall of the Seanchan? If either of those prophecies were written in the Fourth Age, that may blow a hole in your theory.
Although 'the veil or parting raised' could very well refer to Tuon, who is "under the veil" at the moment.

I think its more to do with the Seanchan returning. "Storms rumle beyond the horizon" could just as likely mean the coming of the main mass of Seanchan.

**Seas rage, Fights between the Athiene Miere and Seanchan, Beyond horizon hidden fires swell, already explained. Exalted cast down. Crystal Throne overthrown. Cast down raised, Damane being exalted.**

1. The Seanchan and the Sea Folk have had confrontations since The Great Hunt, when the Seanchan first came to knowledge. What makes this time so special?

**They just have to happen.**

2. Already happened, or need to happen? Most of the time, when RJ gives us a Prophacey, it is either specific to the book (at the start), or already is mostly completed (at the end). The Lord of Chaos quote, happens at the end (hence, why the unstained Tower kneeling, makes sense), so most likely the events of the rest of the prophacey took place as well.

For example:

**Beyond the horizon, hidden fires swell, and ~serpents nestle in the bosom.~**

Well, what is the chapter icon for the Forsaken? A serpant. What happened in LoC, with the Forsaken, and them "nestling"? Many a things:

1. We find out Mesaana is in the Tower.

2. Halima enters the Salidar scene (very, very, big event, and really can be used stand alone to show what I mean).

3. Osan'gar goes to the Black Tower. While this is never seen, he had to have gone in LoC, because he was not with Rand's original numbers, and he is chosen by Rand right after Dumai's Wells (ACOS). So in LoC, he had to go to the Black Tower.

How far away is Seanchan from Randland? If it's closer than, say, a 4 month sail, then surely one of the Seanchan's POV (Tuon or Egeanin)would have told us if there was a civil war in the homeland.

What the Aelfinn Said: 2004-09-13

I've read ideas that imply that the "veil of parting is raised" means that the barrier between the world of the living and the world of the dead has been lifted by the Dark One or the chaos Rand is spreading about as he goes. I tend to agree with this theory since it explains very nicely why so many characters are beginning to see the dead walk in so many places.

"What was exalted cast down, what was cast down is raised up."

I think this refers to Siuan Sanche being desposed, and Logain (eventually) being restored to greatness

I disagree. Taken in context with the book, I'd say it seems more likely that the Aes Sedai are the ones cast down, while men who can channel are exaulted.....in least in some ways..

*and the veil of parting raised*

This comes in the same sentance as the statement 'the wall is pierced', the most likely wall would be the dragonwall, with the coming of the aiel to the wetlands. Thus the 'veil of parting' would likely be the believed history of the Aiel, which Rand raised when he revealed the truth. A veil is meant to hide something, and the history as the Aeil previosly believed hid the truth about their parting from the Way of the Leaf and what they once were.
