ore evidence of Lanfear/Cyndane

Previous Categories: What Happened to Lanfear/Cyndane?

I was reading one of the Lanfear/Cyndane theories and a realization came to me. One of the biggest arguments against Lanfear being Cyndane is that Cyndane is less powerful. But i believe i have the answer. When Lanfear and Moirane fell through the doorway, Lanfear (prolly moirane too) was stilled (i dont know how, or why). Afterwards, she died,or somehow was placed into the Cyndane body.

The DO would then have re-attached her to the source (we know that the ability to channel is part of the soul, not the body, from Os'angar and Ar'angar. The DO, being supreme, must have the ability to reconnect one with the source.
WE know from Siuan and Leanne that once healed after a stilling, you are less powerful. This would explain Lanfear's loss in power. That would mean that Moiraine was prolly stilled too, but this theory is about lanfear(the best of the forsaken), not her.

Well, Stilling is the severing of the connection between body and soul, while burning out is the connection between soul and OP. So, if you would say that Lanfear was burned out...then maybe that would work better. If the DO can heal that connection is an unknown, but if Lanfear died, then it is possible when she was recycled that she again had the ability to channel...these are good questions you bring up. Is it possible that the DO as an ironic twist of fate has taken away some of Lanfear's power like Lanfear took away Asmodean's power?

Thats false. They weren't brought back to full strength because they were women healed by a woman: Nyneave.

If you look at Irgain, an Aes Sedai that Rand stilled once he broke his shield in LoC, who was healed by Flinn, she is returned to full strength, in WH, Chapter 13, Wonderful News, page 310:

**Cadsuane, its as if shed never been...[stilled].**

So we can assume that when a woman is healed by a woman they arent brought back to full strength, same for a man healing a man, and a man healing a woman, or vice versa, would bring them back to full strength.

And as for the stilling possiblity, it could've happened because Lanfear was at the brink of her channeling ability through the angreal and Moiraine stole it from her so she wasnt protected for all the extra power she was channeling. But I think that would burn her out not still her.

If that is true though, then Moiraine probably wasnt stilled or burned out because she took Lanfears angreal. Of course the problem could just be that going through the doorway while holding the Source got you stilled or burned out, but its hard to say. I go with the first suggestion myself.

except that cyndane says that she was weakened sometime during or after the finns holding her. so it is not that big of a hole if it is one at all. it was probably somthing the finns did. i wouldnt doubt for a second that it is in their power.

I agree the Finns most likely did something to Lanfear as a punishment for who she was.
