shamael Has Never Died

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who is Moridin?

Many people have said Ishy was mad because he belived himself the DO, but we have no real evidence of him acting as a madman on the contrary he has ever played wise moves and has controlled the events and all the other forsaken in a genial way. He was as strong as Rand in the Power and their battles were very different from the battles against the other forsaken, Ishy has controlled the plans of the Shadow for over three thousand years. He has weakened the light through this period destroing the ten nations in the trolloc wars and also crating the BA. After one thousand years he has used Hawkwing to destroy the Aes Seadi existing beyond the Aryth Ocean and has created the Seanchan. Then he has tried to capture the Dragon to kill the time and to destroy the wheel, apparently he has failed and has been killed by Rand(?) He has fought against the Dragon Reborn three times and has been stabbed by Callandor, but the only thing that has died has been his body, his soul has travelled to Shayol Ghul trhough TAR and has taken another body. This is proved by the ball of pure shadow he created in the final part of "The Dragon Reborn",so dark that it can eat even the light of callandor, that was Ishmael's soul. I belive Ishmael is now Moridin because they are very similar (they like the same colors, they controlled everything around'em and use the true power that is used only with the DOpermission). When the other forsaken were freed Ishy could control them in same way(in the third book Perrin saw a meeting with two forsaken and discovered he scares'em...),Moridin role his the same, he controls the other forsaken(Moggy,Sammael?,Asmodean?) and appear to be more independent from DO orders than everyone else. Maybe, could he truly be...? No, this idea requires another e-mail.

I would say that there is a good chance that Moridin might be Ishamael in another body...but the question then needs to be answered: Can Forsaken that are cut off from the DO be ressurrected? Ishamael, in his battles with Rand never lost his body, he was only injured, in TDR, the black cord connecting him to the DO was cut by Callandor just as Asmo's was...so again I ask that same question?

Probably I have not explained myself very well last time...in my opinion Ishamael has never been killed,so he has never needed to be resurrected!

If you want evidence for this theory you have to (re)read the last chapter of "The Dragon Reborn",Rand wielding Callandor has cornered Ishy in the World of Dreams and is going to stab his enemy when the Forsaken uses his last trick: he abbandoned his body and escapes in my opinion that bubble of pure darkness was Ishamael's soul. This is the reason for Ishamael's final words:"Fool, the lord of Darkness can never be defeated!"(or something similar I have not the books with me...). Travelling toward Shayol Ghul in the world of dreams has to be easy for someone with Ishy's knowdledge and then incarnating himself in someone else body has not to be that difficult... Then Ishy has continued to carry on his old plan: converting the dragon to the Shadow, but this time he has to controll a lot of new problems, the other forsaken, the aiel, the Amylin Seat...and so on.

So he acted to save Rand's life(ordering Semirhage to send Trolloc into the Stone against Sammael, for example) and to retake control of events lost during the third book. You may say:" but in the third book Ishy wanted to kill Rand, why would he save his enemy's life?"...Because in the third book one of them had to die and either knowed this...ishy belived it till the end of the book ,when he found a way to cheat death, but lost his body. After this he has decided to stay in the shadows making the other belive he was dead and free to order the events has he pleases.

Tamyrlin, you continue to repeat you don't see how the DO can resurrect someone not linked to him, but even if Ishy has died(and I don't belive it has happened) why do you belive the connection has not been restored, since Rand Severed it in the first book and Ishy has "died" in the third? Maybe Asmodean has said Something about the connection being impossible to replace?

I remember only he saing that the black cord had to be impossible to cut but Rand has done it with the big SA'Angreal...and when he has faced Ishy the first time he has nothing... So, why are you so sure the black cord has not been restored?

"...I know that this will go against some arguments I have proposed, but since when do you believe everything a Forsaken tells you? Ishy knows that LTT loved IIyena so he pulls at his emotions to get him to swear over to the DO. I will admit that Ishy has said that the DO can resurrect those who obivously have no connection whatsoever(I concede that it has been said), but in regards to females and the Black Cord, be on the look out for a theory I am proposing in the Chronicles next week.
