Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Is Mat a hero reborn?

Mat cannot be Hawkwing. He saw Hawkwing at the head of the Heroes after playing the Horn. Probably nobody can meet himself. Gaidal was there as well. I do not remember if the King of Manetheren was. Mat looks very much like King, adventurer and gambler. The dice rolled to put him on the way to the DNM. Well, RJ should invent something good about Mat's adventures among Seachan. My question is where did Olver go? Is it just because dice roll?
