Some thoughts on AoL technologies and knowledge coming back -- first, the white lines in the sky in TGH in the 'if' world (portal stone) (where they meet Selene/Lanfear). Those are most likely sho-wings, yes? Second, Shara could be hiding just about anything. Third, the land of the madmen -- the southern continent. Ripe with male channellers. Most promising -- moghedien mentioned interstellar travel! While clearly saidin would be just as tainted wherever they had colonized, perhaps the breaking wasn't as bad because of distance from the bore?

RJ has mentioned in an interview when someone asked him about the island of madmen ;RAFO. So maybe we will see some portion of it before the series is over. You make a good point, there must be some things that made it through the breaking, and the places you named would possibly have more remnants of that age.
